Information we receive
When you contact or hire us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details, project requirements, correspondence, and files. Client work may also involve information you authorize us to access in your systems. Our website’s email links open your email application; there is no website contact form or customer login.
How we use information
We use information to answer inquiries, prepare proposals, deliver and support services, send invoices and receipts, manage payments, keep business records, protect our systems, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell client or contact information or share it for targeted advertising.
Website hosting and analytics
Vercel hosts this website and processes technical request information to deliver and secure it. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand site traffic, including pages visited, referring websites, approximate location, browser, device type, and visit times. Vercel describes this service as providing aggregated statistics without third-party cookies or identifiers that track visitors across websites. Read more in Vercel’s analytics privacy information and its privacy notice. External payment services may use their own cookies and similar technologies.
Payments
If you pay through Stripe, Stripe processes your payment information and may collect billing, device, and transaction details for payment processing, fraud prevention, and compliance. We receive information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment status, amount, contact details, and limited payment-method details. Please enter card or bank information through the payment service, rather than sending it by email. See Stripe’s privacy policy. We also maintain payment and accounting records for payments made by check, bank transfer, or other agreed methods.
Service providers and AI tools
We use third-party services for hosting, email, payments, business administration, and project delivery. We also use AI tools in client work. This can involve processing client correspondence, documents, or other identifiable information with an AI service to support the work. The provider’s processing, retention, and model-training practices depend on the service, account settings, and applicable terms. Contact us before sharing information if your project requires restrictions on particular tools or uses. Project-specific data-handling requirements should be documented in the service agreement.
Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, investigate fraud, or secure our services. Third-party websites linked from our site have their own privacy practices.
Retention and security
We retain information as needed for the purposes described here, including ongoing projects, support, accounting and tax requirements, and resolving disputes. Retention varies by record type and legal obligation. Service providers may retain their own records under their policies. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure; please contact us to agree on an appropriate method before sending sensitive records or account credentials.
Your choices and requests
You can ask about the information we hold about you or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing jose@steeptek.com. We may need to verify your identity and retain certain records for legal or legitimate business needs. Your legal rights depend on where you live and which laws apply. You can also tell us not to send promotional communications; necessary project and transaction messages may still be sent.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change and will revise the date above. For questions, contact Jose Haynes at SteepTek, LLC: jose@steeptek.com.
